Q; I am looking for a good hairdresser for my situation. Im someone who has always prioritised comfort and functionality over style, and so Im a ponytail, jeans and no makeup kind of person. I have thick fluffy difficult hair and I have just never bothered to do anything with it. This time I want to go really short and get some colour which is quite a dramatic change for me. At the hairdresser I normally struggle to explain what I want because I havent got much of a clue, and I also feel a bit intimidated by telling these beautiful glamorous people that I just want another boring no maintenance haircut. I dont like being the centre of attention or people focusing on my appearance. So in order for me not to chicken out - please recommend me a hairdresser who really understands different hair types and face shapes well enough to give me a flattering style and work with me on what will suit, but also has the right sort of personality to deal with a haircut-shy type such as myself
