Q. My toddler is terrified of the dark and often comes into our room in the early hours of the morning in hysterics, unable to stop crying for a good 10mins. This often also wakes my 9week old leaving me to juggle between the two. My son is more than willing to go to his own room to sleep but ONLY if he has company. He wakes several times a night and each time can easily take 30 mins to resettle. This is causing issues between his dad & I. His dad wants to lock her m in the room in the dark to self soothe and get over his fears I feel thats cruel and could only exacerbated the issue. Hes also of the opinion I need to break our 9week old whom I demand feed by not feeding him during the night to force him to sleep through the night, he claims all the parents he knows do this and it works... What do you mummies think? Any advice?
