Q-RACING JOURNAL—NOVEMBER 24, 2014— The 8-year-old brown stallion Jess Zoomin got his first stakes winner on December 20 when Zoomin Baby won the $214,650 Evangeline Downs Futurity at Evangeline Downs. Jess Zoomin is owned by a partnership and stands at Granada Farms at Wheelock, Texas. The son of Shazoom is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess An Illusion. The stallion made 10 career starts, and was four times Grade 1-placed, with runner-up finishes in the Heritage Place Futurity (G1) and Texas Classic Derby (G1), and thirds in the All American Futurity (G1) and The Championship at Sunland Park (G1). He retired with earnings of $461,126. With two crops to race, Jess Zoomin has sired the earners of more than $983,000. They include 32 winners from 64 starters and six stakes-placed runners.
