Longitude and Latitude where you from my dude...? A2. I was born in Orange county California. Though I now reside in Denver Colorado. Q3. Before we speak about Skull Family Recordz. Broadly speaking do you see a negative situation musically with todays so called A-list Stars ..? A3. Dont really pay much attention to it. No disrespect. Im old school West Coast music. Dog Pound,Dove Shack,Warren G,Jayo Felony,Bad Azz,Roscoe,CMW,WC,Bone Thugs. I could go on n on...but thats the A-list Stars I listen too. Then the New upcomers in the game. Not all good music makes it to the radio. They really need to get some of the talent our company has worked events with...it will move forward with support. Q4. Skull Family Recordz. When was it established..? A4. Skull Family Recordz was founded in 2009 in Las Vegas Nevada. Myself & business partner YaYa decided we needed a label...I was his manager at the time we had offices in Vegas in the early days. The tattoos element came later. We feel were a real family type label together through thick and thin. Mr Benny Rodriguez Marchani Jr. aka YaYa was the first artist on the label also Co-founder & business partner. Hes still putting music out to this day. Q5. Have you grown as a label...if so how..? A5. Yes most definitely. Weve grown as a combined business.... though we have a long journey ahead of us before were anywhere near satisfied as to what we bring to our fans & supporters. I genuinely feel we have the upper hand when it comes to growth. Were a family not just a label. Hence family in our name...we try and make it clear that if one person eats we all eat...if one person hurts we all hurt. Myself & YaYa we brothers...we are family therefore Skull Family Recordz was founded. Q6. Ive seen and heard youve got something coming up real soon...tell us more... A6. Yes....we released the information bout two weeks ago about our new event in Las Vegas in October. Skull Family Recordz has teamed up with a Denver Colorado veteran in the music game. As well as a speaker for the Las Vegas Hempfest in October. Were breaking out the Smoke one son Tour. First Friday Mental smoke Session headlined by Coughee #Brothaz of Devin the Dude Record Label..also Java Starr will be live on stage. In attendance will be many of West Coast finest...along with Music reps & A&R from major labels. Q7. Has the organisation for the tour run smoothly...? (lol) A7. With all shows theres never a smooth run (tell me bout it). Weve had a run in with one particular individual who thought we were using the tour for our own gain. Once knowing were in the same Game it was all good. Were always looking for new avenues to succeed. Q8. Back to your label. How many artists are on your roster..? A8. Currently we have 3 signed with one in negotiations in the coming weeks and days. YaYa is still a recording artist on the label. He brings the West Coast LBC vibe when he feels the need to mix it up hell drop a Reggaet on mix. You can tell through his music...but he has a style all of his own dont let him fool you...! Not a new comer to the music industry shes already had her own reality show Meet Hennessey looking at a second season ready to shoot. Were looking for new artists for the family...but also a new fresh producer on the team. Its a good way to secure a major label artist on your music. Q9. When can we expect new music from Skull Family Recordz..? A9. Were looking at the end of the year for new singles from each artist on the label.
