QFAF: A guy (single father of a 4 year old girl) meets a woman (divorced mother of a 4 year old girl, who is involved in a relationship) at a mutual friends birthday party for her five year old girl. The two of them exchange small talk and the divorced mother who is involved in a relationship with another man finds out that he single father is new to the city. She then suggests that their two daughters get together for a play date in the near future. A month later, the single father sends a text message to the divorced mother and they make plans to meet, although the divorced mothers daughter is actually unavailable because her father has them for the weekend. Her boyfriend is actually traveling on vacation with his children. The two meet up at a local coffee shop. They both order coffee and the man offers to pay for the womans beverage. She declines the offer and pays for her own. They sit down, talk, laugh, and then depart their separate ways. She returns to her home and, later while on a conversation with her boyfriend, explains that she met a man with his daughter for coffee. The boyfriend considers what she did a date, cheating, and considers her untrustworthy. Question: 1. Was this considered a date? 2. How would you interpret the woman not allowing the man to pay for the beverage? 3. Was she wrong for not informing her boyfriend of this meeting in advance of them meeting? 4. Would this be considered cheating on her boyfriend?
