QISD HOMECOMING COURT CROWNS RENFRO, ORTEGA (The following is the script used during the Quinlan Independent School District homecoming ceremony at Hobart Lytal Field on Friday night.) Good evening. We would like to welcome each of you to the 2014 Homecoming game between the Ford Panthers and the Liberty-Eylau Leopards. At this time we would like to introduce our 2014 Homecoming Court. Representing the Freshmen Class is Kaili Little. Kailli is being escorted by her mother, Tammie Little, and her father, Michael Little. She is a member of the basketball team and is a three- year member of Relay for Life. Future plans include becoming a nurse and working with pediatric oncology patients. Our Sophomore Class is being represented by sophomores Alyssa Alvarez and Alyssa Friedrichs. Alyssa Alvarez is being escorted by her parents, Sherri and Gilbert Alvarez. She is a member of the varsity cheer squad and is on the basketball and softball teams. She plans to attend Sam Houston State University and major in criminal justice when she graduates in 2017. Alyssa Friedrichs is being escorted by her parents, Len and Alex Friedrichs. She is a member of the volleyball and soccer teams. Representing our junior class are Haley Ogles, Joselyn Romero and Cate Ramzel Haley Ogles is being escorted by her father, Gary Ogles. She is an active member of the Student Council and the softball team and is enrolled in our dual credit classes at PJC. She plans to attend the University of Texas in Tyler after graduation in 2016 and become a nurse. Joselyn Romero is escorted by her father, Felipe Romero. Joselyn is one of our athletic trainers here at Ford HS. Her future plans include attending Baylor University to become a neo-natal nurse. Cate Ramzel is being escorted by her step-mom, Shannon Graham, and her father, Billy Graham. After graduation, Cate wants to become a pediatric urologist and help children suffer from kidney disease. Our senior class is being represented by Logan Lane, Julie Ortega, Dalton Rath, Taner Renfro, Michael Ross, Shelbie Smith, Chandler Wigley and Mikayla Wiegand. Logan lane is escorted by his parents, Larry and Teri Lane, is a member of Student Council and is on the football, basketball, baseball and FHS fishing team. Logan plans to attend Texas A&M University. Julie Ortega is co-president of Student Council, is on the senior prom committee, secretary of National Honor Society and editor of the yearbook. She is being escorted by her parents, Isidro and Elizabeth Ortega. She plans on attending East Texas Dental School to become a dental assistant. Dalton Rath is escorted by his parents, Stacy and Danny Rath, is a member of the varsity football team. He plans on attending aviation school after graduation. Shelbie Smith is co- captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, co-president of Student Council and is a member of the free cosmetology class offered by Quinlan ISD. Escorting her are her grandparents, Gary and Vickie Smith, and her great-grandmother, Norieta White. She plans to become a sonogram technician and a part-time esthetician. Escorting Taner Renfro onto the field is his mother, Anita Renfro. Taner is a member of the varsity football team , track, powerlifting and FHS fishing teams. He is a member of NHS and Student Council. Taner will graduate from FHS in the spring with his Associate’s degree, which he earned through the PJC and Quinlan ISD dual -credit program. He will attend a university in the fall to earn a Bachelor’s degree leading to becoming a game warden. Chandler Wigley is escorted by Chuck and Carol Wigley. She is captain of the varsity cheer team, a member of the cosmetology class, a national champion competitive cheerleader, is a member of the cosmetology class and is in the dual credit program. Chandler will graduate with her cosmetology license and plans on attending college to get a degree in the dental field. Michael Ross is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, and choir. He is escorted by his mother, Hope Holt. After graduation, Michael plans to attend Texas Tech, major in geology and become a geologist. Mikayla Wiegand, a member of the varsity cheerleading squad, varsity soccer team, cosmetology class and Student Council is escorted by her mother, Heather Maxey. She plans to attend UNT where she will play soccer and study to become a physician’s assistant.. Jim Thomas and Courtney Hall, the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen, will help with the crowning of the court. Our 2014 Homecoming Duke and Duchess are Dalton Rath and Mikayla Wiegand. Our 2014 Count and Countess are Logan Lane and Shelbie Smith. Our 2014 Prince and Princess are Michael Ross and Chandler Wigley. Our 2014 Homecoming King and Queen are Taner Renfro and Julie Ortega. The Student Council thanks everyone for coming out tonight. They would like to thank Nolverto Huerta for helping with the crowning of the court. At this time, Julie Ortega will present Nolverto as an honorary member of the senior court.
