#QLD #Flood #Corp FLOOD WARNING FOR COASTAL RIVERS AND ADJACENT INLAND STREAMS BETWEEN AYR AND ST LAWRENCE Issued at 12:05 pm EST on Sunday 9 March 2014 by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane. Issue Number: 2 Heavy rainfall associated with a developing tropical low in the Coral Sea is expected during Sunday and Monday along the coastal and adjacent inland rivers and streams between Ayr and St Lawrence. Widespread daily rainfall totals of 50-100mm are expected, with local falls of 150-200mm. A Cyclone WARNING remains current for coastal areas from Lucinda to St Lawrence. A Cyclone WATCH remains current for coastal and island communities from Innisfail to Lucinda. Catchments at risk include the Lower Burdekin, Don, Proserpine, Pioneer, Connors and Isaac Rivers. River level rises above the minor flood level are possible across the warning area later today and into next week. The situation will be closely monitored and individual catchment warnings will be issued if required. Remember: If its flooded, forget it.
