QOUTE THAT I WROTE: “FLAMES FROM THE WATCH FIRES”: Freedom comes at a price. A little-known fact is that in spite of the Declaration of Independence being accepted by the Congress without any major changes, several of the signers were tortured, burned to death, and lost family and property after they went through with signing of the Declaration. These well-educated men; many whom were devote Christians; knew what they would have to give up for the sake of freedom for this new nation. Early this morning I questioned my soul: WHAT WOULD I BE WILLING TO DO FOR MY GOD AND MY COUNTRY?
