QPR centre back Rio Ferdinand is backing former club Manchester United to regain the Premier League title at the end of the season, according to the Express. He said: Im backing Manchester United to win the league. Manchester United will win because they have a good manager. Wayne Rooney is a good choice as captain. This is his 10th year and he will be top scorer in the League this season. Obviously they need their best players fit. Last season Robin Van Persie did not play much but he could also be a top scorer. United lost their opening league fixture at home to Swansea last weekend, and despite their rivals each winning their games, Ferdinand still envisages problems for three of last seasons top four. He continued: I do not see Chelsea winning [the title]. Arsenal have bought well but I just dont know where all their players are going to fit. Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, when he is fit Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski. Ferdinand sees the added competition of Champions League football as a problem for Liverpool this season, admitting that he believes the squad will have difficulty with the rigours of far more games and travel across the calendar. The biggest problem for Liverpool is that for many of their players, this is the first time they are playing in the Champions League. #DA
