QT-Mark 4:13-29 The expanded commentary did a phenomenal job explaining this passage. It says exactly what I would write. There are 4 types of ground the seed of the Gospel falls on, but only one of them results in a saving faith and life change. Jesus is encouraging the disciples by giving them a reality check-not everyone will believe in Jesus, but when it is harvest time, there will be fruit. How can I apply this to my life? This passage is always a good reminder to keep on keepin on. I dont get to be a part of many opportunities where I see a response to the Gospel, but this is a good reminder for me kids. They are changing creatures and I need to always be throwing out seeds of the Gospel, because when their soil is ready to take root and develop, I will be here to water it and pray over it so it will grow. These verses are dear to me because I do get frustrated when people dont make lasting decisions for Christ. It seems like a no brainer for me, so when people dont choose to follow Jesus, I can get touchy but immediately I remember these verses and remember God is in control. I need to be found faithful, not frustrated that people arent choosing Jesus. I need to be a light so that my life draws people to Jesus, not too righteous hat they dont want to be a part of Jesus family.
