QUALITY MANAGER (JEWELRY) - LAMPHUN Main Responsibilities: • Along with process engineering, the leader of the quality function should be expert on the use of continuous improvement tool sets, which means in Lean and Six sigma tools, as well as a strong voice around the staff table as the customer quality advocate for the shop floor. • Further, the quality manager plays a key leadership role in forcing issue with the use of formal problem—solving techniques to break the long-standing paradigm of inspection. The objective is to eliminate the need for inspection by guaranteeing that the yield of the process meets all customer specification requirements. • The quality manager is the conscience of the plant on product quality. Armed with full support of the managing director he must not succumb to internal pressures. • He is making sure that everyone leading an improvement project are all following problem-solving processes. • Responsible for planning, leading and monitoring all function of quality management and strategy (quality of manufacturing process, QC, QA, QMS, materials, suppliers quality management, internal audit and final inspection of finished products). • Develop and implement corrective and preventive quality actions, communicate quality feedback to management and operation level, leading in resolving quality problem. • Manage and work closely with Production teams for continually improving manufacturing processes, quality of products and supplier quality. • Provide leadership and training for all QA/QC personnel and manage performance reviews. • Develop the necessary quality documentation and reports • Actively check quality at the work stations • Reports directly to the managing director Key Competencies: Technical expert on quality improvement tools Lead the change from firefighting to fire prevention Customer advocate on product quality Qualifications: • Male or Female, age between 30 – 40 years old • Bachelor’s degree in a related fields • At least 5 years’ experience in quality control • Experience in Jewelry Manufacturing / Jewelry Quality Control is a plus • Knowledge in SPC, FMEA, QMS, QCC, TQM • Strong leadership, management skills, and problem solving skills • Fluent in English communication Salary: • THB 50,000 - 80,000 • Working Mon – Sat Company Profile: Created more than 15 years ago, The company is a Lamphun-based manufacturer that provides development and production of costume and fashion jewelry and related accessories to several fashion brands.
