QUARANTINE THOSE HERBALISTS NOW!!!! Im always disturbed each time I hear a news that a herbalist somewhere claims he has the cure for this deadly disease. The latest one I heard is coming from Ondo state. That a herbalist from the state is claiming to possess the ability to cure patients with Ebola!!! Methinks our government should not only caution such people but ensure theyre also quarantined. We should take a cue from the Sierra-leone story. There were only few cases reported in the small west African country while it was already close to an epidemic in neighboring Guinea. Then came a popular woman herbalist/occultist in a border town with Guinea who announced despite protests that shes capable of healing ebola patients. Within one week,the womans herbal home was filled with Ebola patients who took advantage of the nonexistent border between the two countries to walk in or swim in from Guinea. After about one week,the patients started dying one after the other. Yet the deaths didnt deter the woman who still believed in the potency of her medicines nevertheless. Then suddenly,her husband got afflicted and died within days. It them dawned on the woman that she was indeed helpless but it was too late as many more infected people have trooped in from Guinea and in the process might have gotten too many Sierra-leonians afflicted. Of course,the woman herself got infected and died. To make matters worse,the members of her cult,mainly from the Sowe tribe of that country insisted that no matter what,they must perform their cults age-long traditional ritual on their dead colleague. Ask me what this ritual is about? Barbaric!!!! They must all put the corpse on the dinner table and devour it all!! And YES,THEY DID!!! What happened after that in Sleone? Your guess is as good as mine. JOIN ME IN APPEALING TO OUR GOVERNMENT TO QUARANTINE THOSE HERBALISTS NOW!
