QUEENSLAND LNP GOVERNMENT CONTINUES ATTACK ON THE ENVIRONMENT: The Queensland LNP government, in an attempt to commercialise National Parks, has altered the objects of the Nature Conservation Act to include “the social, cultural and commercial use of protected areas”. If one example of this is the proposed Gold Coast hinterland skyrail proposal, that senior LNP MP Ray Stevens refuses to answer questions about his financial involvement in in the video clip below, then our National Parks are about to lose their key role of protecting biodiversity and preserving ecosystems for future generations.
