QUESTION: Currently we deliver all our Weddings on DVD. We are considering changing over from DVD to USB 3.0 thumb drives in presentation boxes with a photo insert to personalise them. We currently print covers and discs but we are seriously considering the change over to USB3 for convenience. Many computers now come without a DVD drive and we see the DVD drive as becoming obsolete in the future (not the distant future either). BENEFITS: USB 3.0 is much faster and can be viewed on your TV, shared easily with family and friends, no more long copy times from the DVDs to your computer. The USB cant be scratched. The USB is easily portable. CONSIDERATIONS: The USB will cost more for us to produce (we intend to take this cost in house as part of production - not an additional fee). The USB can be lost a lot easier than a disc set. The USB is electronic and can fail (very unlikely). What are your thoughts, USB or DVD? (we want to do one or the other not both).
