QUESTION FROM A #BOYMOM: I have a boy who just turned 6. I am currently separated from his father due to some really bad choices he made. Typically, my son is happy but he just saw his dad for the first time in 3 months. A very short 2 hour visit but suddenly my little man is acting very standoffish sometimes defiant. I know he is struggling and bottling his emotions. Im trying very hard to keep a positive light on their dad without lying and without sharing too much. We are getting into counseling but my question is how do I hold him accountable for his attitude without making him feel worse? Please flag abusive or unkind responses. This is a Christian community for moms of boys and is meant to be a blessing!
