QUESTION FROM A MEMBER: I have a six nearly seven year old sister with Down syndrome and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their loved one: Ruth hurts little children on sight, usually around 3 and under. I used to think that it was because she has associated all small children with crying which she absolutely HATES. We have a somewhat whiny niece that Ruth would just about always try to pull her hair or hurt her. But now she goes straight to little kids and tries to do the same. Ruth is not able to communicate and has the mental capacity of a 1 and a half to 2 year old child, and discipline is definitely a concept were still struggling with. Any help?
