QUESTION FROM A READER: Ive recently started doing restaurant gigs. Recently I subbed for another dancer at a restaurant, which was a 35-40 min drive for me. AFTER I arrived, the manager told me that it was a really dead night and two of the three tables was about to leave so he didnt need me. I was totally caught off guard and left without dancing or being paid. How have others handled a similar scenario or what have they done to avoid it completely?
