QUESTION: [my girlfriend] is great, and attractive, but lacks the type of drive & passion that I possess to be a figure of history. My dream is to be dynamic, an enigma, versatile, and all at the same time - functional. She is awesome, but perhaps not the crazy facinating life partner I had envisioned in this vision. She is a rock of stability for me, however. I now ask, do I devote myself to the girl who made it all possible while I was climbing the mountain? Or do I reach the top of that mountain, where my vision of myself resides, and see what partner awaits at the summit? --------------- ELLIOTT: First, there is no reason for your woman to become a figure of history simply because that is your goal. If she supports you in your growth, give her the same respect by supporting her in whatever her ideals are (even if its simply to be a great mother and wife). Next, you dont OWE her or anyone your love and allegiance. But you do owe it to yourself to share love with someone you truly respect, honor and delight in. If she is this woman, then just roll with it. Put all judgements about success aside and allow the love blossom. Dont worry about whats going to happen once you get to the top of your mountain, focus on solid and steady footing where you are today.
