QUIET STRETCH THEN CHRISTMAS/BOXING DAY STORM ARRIVES. Hey Everyone & Happy Monday! If youre trying to do some last minute shopping and running around, trying to travel around the Province, or perhaps fly in or out, the good news is that the next few days are looking nice and quiet. High pressure will continue to dominate today, Tuesday & Christmas Eve across the Province with calm conditions. Mainly cloudy skies in the East & Northeast, including Metro should see a little more Sunshine on Tuesday & Wednesday as winds become lighter. Highs across the Island over the next 3 days will be near the freezing mark. TURNING WARMER, WET & WINDY FOR CHRISTMAS It appeared as though Christmas Day would remain dry across the Province as well, however the latest forecast models are now bringing our late week system a little earlier. Christmas Day will now bring (tracking in from West to East) periods of rain, gusty winds and rising temperatures across the Island with some possible brief period of snow & ice mixing in over North/West. In Labrador, periods of snow, ice pellets, freezing rain & rain are all looking set. WATCH THE NL WEATHER FUTURE TRACKER: youtu.be/VEGblv4DOkU BOXING DAY & WEEKEND COOL DOWN Temperatures look set to fall through the day on Boxing Day with flurries wrapping back in behind the Low, along with Gusty winds across the Island. Based on the current projected setup, anyone travelling along the West Coast & South Coasts of the Island Friday and into Saturday, should be prepared to encounter some Snow Squalls. Ill have your complete tonight, Tuesday & long range forecast details, this evening on Here & Now at 5:30 pm NT. See you then! Ryan #nlwx
