QUILTER’S TIP OF THE DAY: Here’s an easy way to save time and money if you want to test your fabric for colorfastness and shrinkage: Instead of pre-washing fabric in your washer, cut a 2” sample square then drop it into a cup of boiling water. Transfer the wet fabric onto a white paper towel. If the paper towel stays white the color won’t run, and if it still measures 2” square the fabric won’t shrink. Happy quilting!
