QUINLAN COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT The Quinlan City Council will meet tonight at 7 for its regular monthly meeting. The agenda includes approval of hiring Robert White for the vacant position of public works director. White formerly served in the same capacity for the city of East Tawakoni. Other items include agreement for preparation of the fiscal year 2013-14 annual financial audit; application for the final plat of the Hunt Memorial Hospital District Quinlan FED Addition; amend ordinance regulating discharge of animal and vegetable fats, oils, grease, food waste, soil, sand and lint; Amend city’s TMRS retirement contribution plan; amending authorized positions for the city; amend the city’s job descriptions, adding a new job description for Public Works Supervisor, amending job description for public works director and amending the job description for public works maintenance worker; Set Nov. 6-8 as Chunk Your Junk fall cleanup event; approve Quinlan Economic Development Corporation fiscal year 2014-15 annual budget; and An executive session to evaluate and duties of the city administrator and city secretary; and consult with attorney regarding Quinlan Oaks Addition. The council is to return to open session to take any action regarding the items discussed in closed session.
