QUIT THE PANIC! Ive been seeing many statements filled with fear, desperation and panic over the situation in Jerusalem. True, its not good and our government is dragging its feet in squashing our enemies in our capital. But this is not a time for panic. From Abraham to the moment we became the Jewish Nation when we accepted Gods Ten Commandments at Har Sinai by declaring נעשה ונשמע, we chose to be the chosen. Not the other way around. And to this day, we have kept the covenant and we continue to choose God and His Torah. It is a privilege that comes with a heavy toll. But we will continue to defend that privilege. We will continue to fight for that privilege. We will continue to earn that privilege whether our leaders are ready to realize the strength of our covenant with God or not. Our enemies are becoming more and more nervous as we, the Jewish people, are standing up for our right to pray on Har Habayit. They are frightened of our prayers, frightened of our spirituality. Frightened of the truth. They know all too well that the core of our spiritual existence is Jerusalem and that is why, from the Europeans to the Muslims, they are all trying to keep us from it. The fight will be a bloody one. But we cannot give in to fear. Have faith. חזק חזק ונתחזק Jerusalem is ours. We will defend that with everything weve got. Because, like Avraham Avinu and like our ancestors at Har Sinai, we choose to.
