QUOTE OF THE DAY: “DESIRE IS THE SEED OF EVERY PURSUIT” Memory Verse: “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see”. Mark 10:51. If you do not know where you are going, how can you possibly get there? A person without a focus is like a ship without a rudder, carried whichever way the tides and wind are blowing. But a person with a specific goal is like a ship with a rudder, sailing straight and through to its destination. Desire is the seed of every pursuit; knowing what you want increases the tendency that you will get it. Foundation for great success is a clear and specific goal accomplished by measureable objectives, written down, triggered by a burning desire to accomplish them. Whereas the primary reason for under achievement or outright failure is fuzziness or unclear goal. Where goal is not clear, objectives will be difficult to set, thus steps will be difficult to take. Failure starts from one’s inability to decide exactly what one wants, what it will look like, when one wants it and how it would be attained. According to Mark 10:51, all the yelling’s, scrambling and shouting by Barthemeus made no sense as far as Jesus was concerned because he had not really hit the nail exactly on the head. Jesus knew from his outlook that the man was blind, but wanted him to verbalize exactly what he wanted. People may not know exactly where to come in and assist you if they do not know exactly where you need such assistance. Under a normal circumstance, a grown up person that is 18 years old and above should be able to respond clearly without or stuttering to questions about his/her major desire in life. God cannot decide for you. He leaves you to make a decision, then, He guides and helps you accomplish your desire. Just align your desires with the word of God. A genuine desire for a specific goal will come if that goal is an expression of your life values and consistent with your vision of the person you really want to become. Remember, life constantly waits for you to place a demand on it. Have a fun-filled day!
