Empower the poor to let them become their best. This requires energy and time -added to finance- but it is worth doing because empowering people is a personal investment. Your profit will be the joy of seeing people become successful through you. This type of joy is an eternal one which cannot be taken away from you and your generation. You do not have to be rich or have surplus before you can help someone. Do not delay in helping or lifting up people around you. Learn to live everyday as being the last. The Bible often speaks of God’s care for the weak, poor and needy, and of His blessings on those who share this concern. God wants our generosity to reflect His own free giving. As he has blessed us we should bless others. There is one who scatters yet increases more. And there is one who withholds more than is right but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich and he who waters others will also be watered. (Prov 11: 24-25) A man who becomes rich by unjust means will end up foolish and poor. Therefore, we must strive to be honest in all our dealings, in the church of God, at work for promotion or prestige, in school examinations etc. Anything obtained unjustly will not bring God’s blessings. Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished but he who gathers by honest labour will increase. (Prov 13:11 Jer 17:11)
