QUR’AN: 149 SWORD VERSES (Suras 4:74,84; 5:33; 8:39; 9:5,29; 33:49; 47:4-6; 48:16-17…Medinan) Sura 9:5 “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay those who join other gods with Allah wherever you find them; besiege them, seize them, lay in wait for them with every kind of ambush..” Sura 9:29 “...Make war upon such of those to whom the scriptures have been given as believe not in Allah, or in the last day, and who forbid not what Allah and his apostle have forbidden...until they pay tribute...” *Sura 47:4-6 “When you encounter the unbelievers, strike off their heads, until ye have made a great slaughter among them...but those who are killed in the way of Allah…he will admit them to Paradise” *Sura 8:38-39 = “Unbelievers…And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail Justice and faith in Allah” *Sura 8:60=And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war to threaten the enemy of Allah... Sura 2:216-217 = “Jihad is ordained for you though you dislike it…Fighting therein is a great transgression, but a greater transgression with Allah is to prevent mankind from following the Way of Allah…” Sura 61:4 = Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way in ranks as if they were a firm and compact wall.
