Qantas Founders Museum is thrilled to announce that in late December 2014, the museum was informed it had been awarded $11,750 to conduct a Conservation Management Plan of the National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar as part of a grant from the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, Queensland Everyones Environment Round Three grants program. This is the second grant the museum has received from the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection Everyone’s Environment grant program, having won $19,665 in Round Two for work to be done as part of the “Bring the Qantas Hangar to life” project. Thank you to the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection for awarding us these grants so we may continue to tell the story of Qantas and conserve such buildings and artefacts for future generations to enjoy!
