Quartet has been an excellent Retro Euro-Cult label, and we are fortunate they are going strong. Their most recent CD, Carlo Savinas 1974 giallo score LASSASSINO HA RISERVATO NOVE POLTRONE (THE KILLER RESERVED NINE SEATS) is a true gem and not to be missed - especially if you love Savinas main theme for LISA AND THE DEVIL and the giallo scores of Bruno Nicolai! This thriller score is as good as they get! The main title track is a minor-masterpiece of the 1960s lounge esthetic, and the other 14 tracks present a varied gathering of rich and satisfying soundtrack experiences. Get this CD! Without wanting to be greedy I still must offer that we still need Savinas IL VIZIO HA LE CALZE NERE and CARNALITA, Franco Reverberis DELIRIO CALDO, Silvano Spadacchios LA BESTIA UCCIDE A SANGUE FREDDO, Jean-Pierre Dorsays THE BLOOD ROSE, and THE HEAD aka DIE NACKTE UND DER SATAN by Willy Mattes and Jacques Lasry. Those last two are wonderful, unique scores that desperately need digital preservation before it is too late! / Here is the superb main title of Savinas THE KILLER RESERVED NINE SEATS.
