Queens Park Rangers defender, Rio Ferdinand has been banned for three match and fined £25,000 by the Football Association for comments posted on his Twitter account. The 35 years old former England defender directed a jibe containing a derogatory reference to women at a Twitter folower who criticised him last month. He has been ordered to attend an educational programme by the FA and will be suspended for the matches against Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle United.
