Ques:Do Sikhs worship Hindu Gods? Ans:Sikhism was established as a very secular religion. The very first line in Gurbani says Ik Onkar, which translates to Theres only one god. It doesnt really matter whether you go to a Hindu temple or to a church or a mosque, what matters is that you do not belittle someone elses faith and feel unjustly proud of your own, because their god is the same as your god. All Sikhs go to gurudawaras. However a small fraction may also actively engage in Hindu activities which I believe may be a consequence of the environment and company they live in. My Hindi teacher in school was a Sikh by birth but since she spent her childhood in close company of a Hindu household, she told us she felt closer to god in a temple than in a gurudawara. Whether that makes her a Hindu or a Sikh is anybodys call. So I dont think it matters a lot whether a person from one religion pays obeisance to another religions deities. After all, going to a church does not make you a Christian, just like standing in a garage does not make you a car.
