Designation - Technical Publication Manager Experience : 6 – 10 years Education : Bachelor/ Master Degree: In Mechanical/ Automobile/ Industrial engineering Scope: Define standards/ templates, write & edit material for various technical manuals and product support documents. Also lead the group of technical writers and illustrators. Location : Bangalore Domain Expertise: Automobile (Primary requirement) Construction/ Material Handling Equipment/Heavy Equipment Roles & Responsibilities: • Developing new document templates. • Develop written/ illustration standards and formats for all technical documents. • Assist team in technical writing/ illustration creation in compliance with established templates, in the preparation of various technical manuals (Viz. Operator, Service, Owners, Flat Rate Manual, Damage Code, Diagnostic, Body Building, etc). • Manage and execute work assignments to the highest quality level as per Customer SLA. Essential Skills: • High level of competence in MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe and few of technical writing & illustration tools. • Familiar with use of technical authoring tools; like FrameMaker, RoboHelp, ArborText, EpicEditor, PageMaker, etc. • Familiar with use of technical illustration tools; like Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw, CorelDraw, 3Dvia, PhotoShop, Autodesk Maya, etc. • Hands on experience in visual communications (Both 2D & 3D) • Exposure to Windchill/ Enovia/ TeamCenter or equivalent engineering software systems. • Experience in automotive/ construction equipment repair or engineering (design, testing, etc.) is an added advantage. • Knowledge of tracing images / Photo for requirement of documentation.
