Question :- Why did you write that you are going to stop using and promoting NHM Tamil Writer? Given your catalyst status do you really want to do that ? For the freedom of expression is it good to spoil someones business? Are you promoting revenge and vengeance? Answer :- There is no revenge or vengeance in boycotting Badri Seshadri Sir products. It is just that why should I give my energy and money to someone when he speaks against the society and does Goebbels Propaganda. To make my stand clear, I am one of the many Dravidian ideologists who had always recommended NHM not only to Tamils but also Telugus, Kannadigas, Gujarathis , Maratis etc.. When Badri Sir launched Beta version of the product circa 8 years ago, I spent money went to his office by auto (people who had known me would know how much physical pain I have to endure to travel in India ) undersood the product and came back home tested the product for about two days reported the bugs that I had found out. Even when few people raised key logging (logging all the key strokes and sending it to Kizhakku server) issue with the NHM software, I stood on Badri side. Since the Beta release of NHM, I was like anytime promoter of NHM and Kizhakku. I never thought that he is a brahmin. I kept him above all Brahmin made classes and castes. As I wrote in the previous article, he was an ICON for me. without any conscience when he himself writes Tamils are ill-treating Brahmins like a Dinamalar reader, I felt Azharuddin / Jadeja / Cronje type shock. Knowingly or unknowingly Badri sir had done two bad things. 1. He lost his brand name (better he does not have his company logo in his Tshirts while he hosts/takes part TV shows) 2. Somehow , he had seeded more distrust towards brahmins. I afraid if any forward thinking Brahmins words would be given due respect. Tamils centuries old fear and distrust of brahmins would become even stronger. Catalysts can be used to stop negative reactions. It is tough to copy and paste it from Google Writer, but I can do that for my Tamils. You do or not do that is your wish, I am not Badri Seshadri and not a Brahmin will not impose.
