Question: Am I wrong to quote things on FB that Ive prophesied in my books when those things begin to unfold in the flow of history, or am I simply promoting a message that needs to be heard? In 2011 as I wrote Visions of the Coming Days (published 2012), I said that we would see a resurgence of racism and racial conflict in this nation, and that we who follow Jesus need to be a force for reconciliation and peace. Now we see that resurgence unfolding in places like Ferguson, MO. Race has become once more a hot topic in America and I hear people once more making ignorant and uninformed statements about one another across racial lines. I, for one, will refrain from telling African Americans what they should do or how they should think until I have listened deeply in the context of real relationship. This is something Ive pursued over recent years and I plan to redouble my efforts.
