Question. Did any of you when a JW ever feel this way? I grew up with my mom and brother, and was in the same hall since age 3 till I got married. The whole time I was there, the elders never reached out to my brother and I, the spritutal ones and popular never took much interest and left us out of Congergation get togethers! Why? Because my mom was a single parent, we didnt make a lot of money (my hall was pretty wealthy) and my parents had marriage issues...so a lot of the time my parents were split up. My dad was abusive, and ofcourse the elders didnt believe my mom when she seeked help. It didnt matter how many comments I gave or said hi to others, we were always the weird family. There was another single mom (widower) family with kids our age, but because she was close with the presiding oversear, her kids got tons of attention from the elders and they were always used on stage for demonstrations. It was the worst feeling going to the hall, knowing all these people for all your life, and supposed to be loving people....and all I got was judgment, lots of gossip and often rejection. Thankfully I had a few close friends as I got older (I made my own in different hall)...but it was the crapiest Congergation ever! And it was SO cold....like, nobody comes to say hi, or pat you on the back when you did a talk. Anyways, just had to rant lol! :)
