One of the topics I have thought about is the theory of innovation. In the long-run, economic growth is based on innovation and their adoption. But it strikes to me that a theory of innovation is essentially impossible. Because, its new... Right? If you could anticipate an innovation, youve had already made it! So, I dont think there is any way of answering your question! However, there is one thing that is relevant: its criticism. You come up with an idea, first you should say: whats wrong with it? And a thesis advisor can contribute to that!
