Question: How did you potty train your dogs? Answer: I used the crate to contain them in a controlled space and time schedule. When they woke up straight outside to the grass to go the washroom and lots of praise when they did. They play and when they were done take them out again because of all the excitement they need to go the bathroom and sure enough they always did. Put the water dish outside and the...n let them run around and they will start to learn that their scent it outside not inside. Accidents happen and we have to make sure that the dog knows that this is not acceptable, take them outside and continue to praise until they get older and learn that this pleases you. When they are puppies get some pee pads and use these because they are too small to negotiate the stairs so this helps them with peeing on them. Their scent helps them remember where to go then slowly move the pads out the door to the grass, works every time. Remember these are babies and we are the leaders they look up to us for guidance and love. Praise them all the time for doing good and put them in their place when they are bad but never hit them, this breeds fear
