Question I put to Enterprise Minister : To ask the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment how she plans to increase the number of cruise ships that dock at Ballycastle. During 2013 Moyle District Council expects to welcome and service 8 cruise ships with 3 ships docking in Ballycastle and a further 5 at Rathlin Island. It is my understanding that, to date, no formal strategy has been established by Moyle District Council for the servicing of cruise ships to the area. Both my Department (DETI) and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) would strongly encourage the council to consider the potential for this market and to provide an appropriate strategy for the future growth of the market.
