Question? I was diagnosed with RRMS 8 months ago & major symptoms lasted about 3 months then got better but not necessarily gone. Started Gilenya 7 months ago. For the last 2 months, Ive got major increase in muscle spasms in my neck, shoulders & back, the severe pain, heaviness & weakness in my Right arm. Also, having major headaches & migraines daily. I called my Neuro doc & got in to see his new partner who new virtually nothing about me. Long story short, I asked him if I was having a relapse bc Im having a really difficult time working, etc. Ive even been having Physical Therapy and it hasnt helped. He didnt really answer me but addressed the symptoms by changing a few of my medicines & giving me some new ones. Ive been taking them for a week & so far, not helping. He also suggested that I see a Chiropractor bc I have a cervical vertebrae out of place. If Im having these worsening of symptoms, could it be a relapse or is this just the progression of MS? And if its progressing so quickly, does this mean the Gilenya isnt working? What are your thoughts?
