Question: We all know Indian History has been awfully distorted then why did the Indian Govt not fix it in past 65 Years? Dr Subramanian Swamy : Congress wrote this rotten history with communist historians. Murali Manohar Joshi, during NDA govt., tried very hard to put the facts right. He got some success but there was so much howl and scream from the communist academicia that even some allies like Chandra Babu Naidu asked him to go slow. This time if a Government lead by Modi comes in power then I am 100% certain that Indian history will be made right. Now much more research has come on record, We have Rajiv Malhotra and many other eminent scholars in India and abroad who have done great deal of research work in the field. We shall create a committee and ask them to restructure the text books and prescribe them for schools, collages and universities. This is not an overnight change. I also believe that Sanskrit should be made compulsory language for Indians if we are to get rid of our inferiority complex that is making us mental slaves.
