Question: Why are there so few bass singers in modern First-Word English-Language popular music? Im in a Starbucks, and a few minutes ago the PA was playing the song I link to below, a rock / country / bluegrass fusion love song. The lyrics are pretty trite and over-used, but the melody is nice and I was especially struck by Josh Turners deep bass Johnny Cash like voice.
