Question : Why did Arvind Kejriwal resign ? Answer : 1) When AAP formed the government, they had clearly said, we have 18 promises to fulfill, we will do our best to complete all our work. 2) But the day we realise that we cannot fulfill our promises, we will quit because we dont want to have power just for the sake of being a CM, Khursi bachaane k liye nahi aaye hai hum. 3) They tried their best to fulfill all promises that they had put in their manifesto, but they couldnt introduce lokpal because they didnt have majority. 4) To pass the lokpal, we needed majority, and it was clear that until n unless we get majority, lokpal cannot be passed. 5) So if not now, at least after 4 months or 6 months or 12 months, he had to resign and get a majority so that there is no hindrance later, AAP did this early within 2 months, to get back to the people and ask for majority through re-polls. 6) The reason why discussions or asking the people was not required because there were no 2 opinions or different views, it was clear, if we want to pass important strong bills, like swaraj bill or lokpal, we had to have majority. So it was important to resign n get majority in re-elections. 7) While taking support from the Congress, there were 2 opinions within party, Few people believed we should prove ourselves by running the Government although by external support from Congress, Few people believed we should not take support from Congress. 8) This time there were no two opinions, It was a United decision, so a referendum was not done.
