Question about WSCA judging: On another page, there was discussion about how to place a class you do not deem any horse to be worthy of first place. Many AQHA judges commented stating that in AQHA judging, judges are allowed to start placings at whichever number they feel best represents the class. Although it is not common, it is legal. I.E.: there is a class full of very flat, uncollected lopers in the class. If the judge does not feel any horse is appropriate for first or second place, they are allowed to start the placings at third. In WSCA judging, Is this allowed? an example I think of is that it takes a first or a second place to qualify for champ show. If there are only two horses in a class and one is simply inconsistent, doesnt move well or is racking up faults, could the judge then start placings at second so the other horse, who was adequate could get a qualification, but would then not qualify the horse that wasnt.
