Question and Answer Session. Often times we have been asked by residents why a fire truck and an ambulance sometimes show up when they call 911 for a medical emergency. All of our fire apparatus are equipped with AEDs (automated external defibrillators) and a full complement of medical equipment and the vast majority of our firefighters are EMTs and or paramedics. So depending on the nature of the call and the location of our responders in town you may end up with both an ambulance and fire truck at your residence. This flexibility allows us to provide a crucial service quickly at your time of need.
