Question: at 2:30 this morning, every fire alarm in our house went off. They are hard-wired into the house and have batteries. Of course, that shrill, high-pitched squealing was awful. We jumped up, looked around, no fire (thank goodness)....Robert took the batteries out...still screaming....now...45 minutes later, he has finally disconnected all fire alarms (hope nothing happens between now and morning--like Ill be able to go back to sleep--Im wide awake) The odd thing is--just before the concert in the Gault on MMC campus, the fire alarm went off. This happened at my husbands daughters house a couple of days ago (all of her alarms went off as well--not just one) Does anybody know what causes this and what to do about it?
