Question by KyleJoseph: What kind of financial aid should I expect from Boston College? Hey, I am planning to attend Boston College next fall and am wondering what financial aid the school normally offers. The yearly tuition, including room and board, is around $ 52,000. Boston College has a solely blind and need-based financial aid program, meaning the grades or merit of students have no effect on the financial aid process. My moms annual income is about $ 45,000, and my dad has rental property which has a net income of about $ 40,000. Our house is worth $ 300,000 and the rental property is worth about $ 250,000, of which $ 150,000 debt is owed on the rental property. I would probably be able to contribute about $ 5,000 per year. What do you guys think tuition will be after financial aid? Thanks, Kyle My parents are married and the rental property has a gross income of about $ 120,000, and net of $ 40,000. Also, Ill be attending the Carroll School of Management. Thanks. Robert: As a internationally recognized school ranked in the top 40 in the United States, Boston College is certainly prestigious, and, due to that, is expensive. However, BC is known to be generous and understanding to familys needs. Thanks. Best answer: Answer by CassiSo your parents have a combined income of around $ 85,000, on top of the asset value of the property (debt owed is not ever considered). Minimal to no financial aid. Youre far from being considered needy in any sense. You need to find a school you can afford to attend if that is all you seem to be able to afford. Give your answer to this question below!
