Question by ViPeR: Health: Is it better to cut down then get bigger, or get big, then cut down and tone? This is to the health nut and gym rats alike. I guess I would say im average build. Not fat, but want to be able to take off my shirt at a pool and finally feel good about it. I am in the Marine Corps, so Im in decent shape, but I want more out of my body. Im about to have a lot of time to be able to workout and just wanted to know if it is better to try and get cut then get bigger or add mass then try to get cut? Please provide suggestions on workout plans, diet plans, supplements (legal ones). Im open to anything. Thanks for your time. -MelloYello Best answer: Answer by Mike Mwell... if i were you i would focus on gaining muscle first and then cutting down because if you are in the marine corps your training and drills probably consist of more cardio work wrather than resistance training type exercises so when you have time off i would focus on building up and then when you are back training you will slim down your body fat % Give your answer to this question below!
