Question for all you advocates and parents out there. This week is my daughters IEP, and she shocked us all by getting on high honor roll last week. She is still way behind her classmates. I am not sure which is better, letting her get great grades and work on easier stuff or to let her struggle and not get high grades? I am thinking of asking for more difficult work but still want her not challenged too greatly. Also have concerns about her needing a tech evaluation so she can write and read more on grade level rather than at 2/3rd grade when she is in 6th grade. She thinks on a 6th grade level but cannot read/write at the level which causes huge amounts of frustration. What would you do?
