Question from Cheryl Adams Schneider: My 8 year old daughter has been diagnosed with Lyme. Shes been having terrible chest pain. Ive actually called 911 twice for her in the last week and a half. All cardiac test results have come back normal. Today she had an echocardiogram and another EKG...both normal. This is frustrating!! She explains these episodes as shocking pains when her heart beats Her heart rate also will rise spontaneously for about 15-30 seconds then beat normally. Its very strange but I know something is going on in there but I dont know what to do to prove it! I havent found her an LLMD yet (weve already spent thousands since I started seeing my LLMD in April), Im hoping to find one who takes our insurance. Has anyone else had this issue of cardiac symptoms with their child? Ive had two Lyme related heart attacks...so naturally this terrifies me thats shes experiencing these symptoms.
