Question from Tricia Stockwell Question for our group: Our almost 4 yr old fawn male received a referral to an orthopedic surgeon yesterday. Vet is pretty sure he has a torn cruciate ligament, left rear leg. This is killing me, he is quite large at 102.7lbs but sheer height is in him. We also have a 2yr old rescue that had a broken back (story in and of itself). Im worried about recovery time, keeping them from playing, our stairs, his weight/size and his other knee. Has anyone else gone through this? What was the outcome? How long was recovery? What are the chances? Approx cost?
