Question from a mom: We recently enrolled in a health plan with my husbands employer. For 2 of us in our mid 40s non smoker and healthy, and our 9 yo daughter, the cost is $1100 a month. Him and I went without insurance the past 2 years and are looking forward to being insured again, however, the high cost has me worried it will be wiping us out financially very soon. Are there any suggestions on other health plans that may be more affordable. We would like a plan with a copay and preventative care covered prior to a high deductible. Also, is it too late to even get on any other plan? Thank you.
