Question of the Day: How Are We to Treat Fellow - TopicsExpress

Question of the Day: How Are We to Treat Fellow Believers? What’s more important: what divides us or what brings us together? GOD created each of us as uniquely different individuals [no two of us (even twins) are exactly the same]. But if we believe in HIM and have accepted CHRIST as the sacrifice by which we have been redeemed from the consequences of our sins, why do we [who are believers] continue to focus more on our differences than we do on the one thing we have in common [our faith in GOD]. The enemy and his supporters depend on the concept of division to maintain their power. They use the fact that we have different ethnic and racial backgrounds to divide us; and they use some of us [who claim to believe in GOD, and who say we have accepted CHRIST as our SAVIOR] to create friction with other believers. And as long as we allow these non-believers to use the principle of division to detract us from our mission of sharing GOD’S love through the salvation message with the whole world, the wedge that we have allowed them to create between us will hinder the effectiveness of our ability to accomplish what GOD has chosen us to do. My wife and I have many friends who are members of different CHRISTian denominations; and we have friends who are from different ethnic and racial backgrounds. But we chose to obey GOD and we love all of them the same. “Since GOD chose you to be the holy people HE loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, THE LORD forgave you, so you must forgive others.” – [Colossians 3:12-13] Today as we pray, we will look to GOD for guidance as HE uses HIS HOLY SPIRIT to lead us to love others the way HE loves all of us. We will pray for GOD’S help for all of us who believe in HIM and have accepted CHRIST to enjoy the unity of our faith for strength against those who seek to keep us divided.
